Papers, 1850-1919.

Contains a manuscript entitled Glimpses of life on the American frontier, with introduction and notes by Oliphant. The manuscript is comprised of extracts of numerous diaries, letters and reminiscences about overland journeys and life in the Pacific Northwest (ca. 1850-1900), written by Mrs. Lucy Ide, George D. Anderson, Martin V. Harper, and Alex Shearer. Collection also contains a paper he compiled of letters from students, staff and faculty of Cheney State Normal School during WWI.
